July Favourites!

July Faves...
These are the products that I've been using over and over and over that I love and recommend to anyone that will listen haha...

Moroccan Oil:
Read a few posts down, this is my new HG for hair. LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. I'm so crazy about this stuff that I make my friends and partner smell and touch my hair. Nuff said!

Shimmerbricks:
This month it's been all about the Nude and Nectar.
Nude is my go to when I want to be a minimalist but feel beautiful. I just use this, do my brows, mascara and a light cover of gloss and I feel instantly beautiful without covering my face in a zillion products! It doesn't look dirty either. Better than a bronzer.
Nectar is the peachy pink colour I've been dying to find. Makes a subtle peachy glow without being too dramatic. Not too shimmery either!

RRP: $95
Buy from: David Jones and Myer (not all stock BB, you'll need to check!)

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish compact in NW20:
Ever since I bought this in January, I haven't wanted to use another foundation. My new HG this is! It gives a medium coverage and a dewy look (what I love about the mineralize range) much better than the liquid version (which is slightly too shiny for my liking). Comes in every shade and it's mother, this is one I would recommend to anyone, no matter what colour you are, what your skin is like, what coverage you're after... THIS IS IT! Now go out and buy yourself some!

RRP: $59
Buy From: MAC PRO stores and counters in Myer & David Jones

MAC Paintpot in Coral Crepe:
I love coral, it's growing on me like something nasty. It's a beautiful sheer coral that won't scare you, especially if you're scared of COLOUR (boo!). You can use it under pinks, corals, oranges, reds and it looks beautiful. Also helps eyeshadow stay on longer and look more vibrant if you use this as a base. Looks utterly amazing with Firecracker eyeshadow!

RRP: $35
Buy From: Not available anymore but you may be able to check makeup alley or livejournal to see if anyone's selling :)

MAC Eye Kohl in Float on By:
OMG THIS IS IT! The most perfect shade of teal EVER. I'm a BIG sucker for teals and must own any product if it resembles this shade. It has beautiful shimmers in it and glides on soooo smoothly. I just wish I had bought another one as I can't stop using it. Can't stop raving and will never share. I recommend you don't either haha.

RRP: $32
Buy From: Nowhere. This baby sold out in stores on the first day or thereof. Website sold out too (actually pretty sure I bagged the last one). This is the pot of gold that you'll never find. If you do manage to score one from here-on out, Congratulations, you've just found the golden ticket to the chocolate factory! You lucky bastard! :)

MAC Eyeshadow in Firecracker:
Beautiful shade of bright coral with gold reflects. It's crazy bright and looks like it could be hard to pull off but it's not. Team it with other sexy corals and you'll look stunning. The pigmentation in this is good and builds up fantastically. Look up the MAC facecharts and recreate a look.

RRP: $37
Buy From: MAC PRO stores, counters at Myer & David Jones may still have a couple left. You'll need to check. maccosmetics.com.au still has some available, so you'd be better off to go there.

MAC superglass in Cherry Electric:
MMMM Glitter! I love glitter so when I discovered this collection i had to have them all. Now this is currently the only one I have (I do plan on getting them ALL!) and it's beautiful. A lot of people have commented on the chunkiness of the glitter, but I don't mind it. The glittery-er the better I say, however, these aren't exactly work friendly, especially if you work at an office. I recommend teaming them with just as bright counterparts, EG, I would team CE with Rebelrose lipstick, or Show Orchid, or something just as crazy bright. Perfect for going out on the weekends with! In fact I dare you to wear it out! They are pretty damn expensive for what they are though but meh, I'm a weka so I don't care...

RRP: $45
Buy From: maccosmetics.com.au. They're a web exclusive!

Swisspers Spa Facial Makeup Removing Wipes in Pomegranate:
These are a great quick fix at night when you can't be bothered to wash your face properly (late nights out anyone?!). They are very moisturing compared to a lot of others that I've tried over the years. They apparently also have antioxidant properties in them too. Everyone (or almost everyone) knows that pomegranates are very good for the skin and body. The size: they're like SHEETS! They're massive! I can do my whole face with one (compared to using at least 3 of other brands). There's only 25 per pack but if you look at a pack of these and a pack of another brand, the pack is almost twice as thick! They come in 3 *flavours*, pomegranate, mango and white tea. They really do work hard to get rid of everything, I use Diorshow waterproof mascara and it takes it right off (mascara and thick black eyeliner be gone!). Anyone who wants a good priced makeup wipe, I HIGHLY recommend these!

RRP: $6
Buy From: Priceline, & supermarkets

Until next month...

Grrrrr Arrrrrggghhhhh!!!!

Okay so I LOVE The Body Shops Lemongrass goodies for the feet. They smell so divine and make me feel uber special and relaxed when I get the home pedi thing going on. So last week I go in to my local store and see nothing but a wall of peppermint. Not yet deterred from getting my goodies I ask a sales assistant ~ she's never heard of it ~ but she says shes new... Okay, starting to get a little scared. She asks another girl and they don't stock it anymore. WHAT!!!!! I call my mum and see if she can get me some from NZ (they seem to have slightly different stock sometimes), nope NZ don't sell it anymore either. Off to the net to see if I can rope someone into doing a cp. Check out the Body Shop website from a few different countries.

THIS STUFF DOES NOT SELL ANYMORE! I AM MORE THAN UPSET, I AM LIVID!!!!

I never even got a chance to back as much up as I could! Body Shop, I am highly disappointed in you. All I can say is GRRRRRRRRR!

EDIT!!!! All stock is being recalled to their warehouse in Melbourne meaning.... come LATE August we can all enjoy it one last time and buy it at a discounted price. Call The Body Shop on 1800 065 232 to find out more! YAY!!!

Morrocan Oil

To be perfectly honest, I've never been the type of person to fuss over my hair EVER, hell I know girls that literally CRY when they get it cut, damn, it's just hair and it'll grow back! But my flatmate bought this stuff home one day and I had to give it a go... I'd heard so much about how great Argan/ Moroccan oil is from the likes of Nicole Richie and hey, she seems to be on the know! So I thought, why not, (the flatmate couldn't stop raving about it either) surely they couldn't be wrong! WELL! Let me tell you, this stuff is spicy GOLD! It smells so fricking-fantasticly- yummy! Like you can't stop sniffing your hair yummy. It's wiked! Having recently gone blonde and in the process of going blonder this stuff is perfect as it moisturises the hair without being greasy, in fact I find it makes my hair dry quicker when I use it (must use it with wet hair). It leaves a brilliant shine and makes hair look (and smell) healthy. I bought this and discovered the line also has a shampoo & conditioner, so I had to tell the flatmate and within the next week there were 2 bottles of each in the bathroom. When the trio are used together, hair is impossibly good, so much in fact, I've become a *hair person*. My hair typically grows really slowly and can get quite greasy but dry at the scalp, the trio has helped combat all of these issues and my hair is growing rather steadily. I HIGHLY recommend these products and cannot rave enough!!!!!
It's a bit exxy but a little bit goes a long way! Use a 10c size bit and smooth it onto your hands/ hair and pull through.

The stats on what it supposedly does (that I can attest to!):
- Softens thick and unmanageable hair
- Restores shine and softness to dull, lifeless hair
- Strengthens and conditions brittle hair
- Promotes healing and provides nourishment to hair damaged by colouring and styling
- Protects against UV damage and other environmental factors
- Reduces drying time and speeds up styling time

RRP:
Oil ~ $49.50 100ml/ $24.95 50ml
Shampoo ~ $28.95 250ml
Conditioner ~ $28.95 250ml
Masque ~ $44.50

To The Beach Haul

TO THE BEACH

Yeah okay, so I'm a bit late on this one but I haven't done a major haul for a loooong time and everyone still seems to be excited even though it's been and gone. Here's what I got!

Weekend Bronze cream bronzer
Get Away Bronze blush
Marine Life highlight powder (plus a backup!)
Sweet & Punchy eyeshadow
Firecracker eyeshadow
Sand & Sun eyeshadow
Sun Rush lustredrops
Life's a Breeze lip pencil
Temperature's Rising lip pencil
Float on By eye pencil
Beach Bound lipstick
Lazy Day lipstick
Splashing lipglass
Easy Lounger lipglass

And I have Flurry of Fun lipglass on it's way and I also bought the bronze oil but forgot to take a pic!!

Already Own:
Hipness blush
Shimmermoss eyeshadow
Humid eyeshadow
Pink Rebel lustredrops

Thoughts:
This was such a fantastic collection and I always love the May/June *summer* (US that is) collections, they've always been my fave, this one is no exception. I saved quite a bit of money as I already had Humid and Shimmermoss eyeshadows (permanent) and I bought Hipness from the Fafi collection and Pink Rebel lustredrops from Style Warriors last year.
My fave items from this collection are definitely Firecracker eyeshadow and Float on By eyeliner (everyone knows I'm a teal freak!) and I wish I got a backup of FOB as I've been using it a lot (can't wait to pair it with Partylicious pigment!!!!). I have to say, out of all of the highlight powders that MAC have created with the overspray, Marine Life is definitely the nicest, even when there's no overspray left. A fantastic collection and there was 6 items that I didn't get out of the whole lot, that I didn't already have (the other cream bronzer, both nail polishes, the olive eyeliner and 2 lipsticks...), so money WELL spent and looking back probably a little crazy hahaha.
