Super excited about Cham-pale!

I am so excited for this collection! This is going to be one of the few collections that I actually want pretty much everything. No joke. Everything is so beautiful and shimmery. I'm most excited about the highlight powders, paintpots and the eye kohl and Fix + LAVENDER! I'll also be picking up a couple of goodies for my professional kit, namely the Fix + and 10 million Feline's! I absolutely loved the Fix + rose and love lavender so this seems like a natural thing to get and Feline... well everyone knows that it's the most perfect black eye kohl, so those 2 I'll be stocking up for personal and professional use. I'm not going to bother with the lipsticks as they're mostly permanent and have wayyyyy too many as it is that get no love! However I do like the look of Gel and at some stage I'll probably get it. The platinum polish is unappealing to me as it's not *quite* the right shade. It tries so hard but doesn't quite hit the spot. I'm still not quite sure what I think of the comforting creme but will probably skip it along with the tinted lip conditioner.

My Picks/ What I'll be getting:
Caviar Dreams Eyeshadow Quad ~ I'm still debating this as I already own Et Tu, Bouquet? and 2 of the other shades are permanent... (brule and retrospeck)
All lipgelee's ~ Since getting them all from Lilyland collection I've been hooked!
Both highlight powders ~ so beautiful! And no overspray on these ones so I'm pretty excited about that haha.
I Get No Kick eye kohl ~ So PRETTY!!! Will be getting 2 of these!
Feline eye kohl ~ I already have this but need a couple for my kit, may get a back up for myself.
NW20 chromagraphic pencil ~ Another goodie for my kit
Soiree nailpolish ~ I wasn't going to get this but I just saw Temptalia's swatch so now I will. It's gorgeous!
Fix + Lavender ~ I'll get a few bottles of this, for myself and my kit. Probably one of the products I'm most excited about!

A funny story....

...Well not really, but it was amusing, well to me at least...

So I was browsing the net and some of my fave beauty blogs and came across this picture of a stunning girl wearing a BEAUTIFUL shade of lipstick. The lipstick of tale being NYX Narcissus. Now for those of you in Australia know how we can't obtain t
his product or line unless we have super awesome American friends who can buy/ CP us these goods. So here I was in awe of this shade, placing it on my wishlists and frantically searching makeup alley to see if I could swap something with someone somewhere so I can say that "yes, I have this shade Haha Lucky me!" Suddenly I remember that I had been involved in a swap on makeupalley.com and someone had sent me a NYX lipstick. I couldn't remember for the life of me what shade was it, So with a quick check I find that yes, I actually do already OWN this product and it is the only NYX lipstick/ product I actually own. Haha jokes on me! Don't you just hate it when that happens, although it usually happens when you've just purchased something and discover hey, now you're the owner of TWINS!

* I don't usually like to show you guys things that are unavailable in Australia/ New Zealand but I simply adore this shade and it had a story. If you happen to travel overseas you can pick this lippie up (and many more great shades) at drug stores for a minimal price.

Lady Gaga back for more!

Lady Gaga has returned for her second stint as a MAC Viva Glam AIDS spokesperson for 2011.

"MAC Cosmetics has signed Lady Gaga on for a second year as the spokeswoman for its Viva Glam campaign. Gaga teamed up with Cyndi Lauper for the 2010 campaign, which launched earlier this year. The company said the Gaga-Lauper campaign was the most successful ever for the MAC AIDS Fund, which has raised more than $190 million for the cause since its founding in 1994."

My Thoughts: I personally think this is fantastic, not only as I'm a MAC and Lady Gaga fan but I have seen many public speeches that she has attended and very vocally supported the awareness, education and prevention of AIDS. She has used her fame and publicity for the benefit of others, and this is such a worthy thing to be proactive about and to help spread the message about this horrible disease!

Quarterly Faves:

So you might have been wondering where I've gotten to. Well, lately life has been so crazy for me and I've been pulled every which way in my life, with work and growing up. I've recently had a LOT of unnecessary drama my way and I've needed to clear my head and deal with these problems, now it appears the drama has "died down" so I can now focus on the more fun side of life for me, so here I am with a QUARTERLY faves post! (I didn't realise it had been 3 months since I last posted anything! The time is going so quickly!!!! Arrggghhh!). Anyways, TO THE BAT MOBILE... UHH, I MEAN, REVIEW! HAHA!

The things I've been loving these past 3 months!

* MAC Style Snob eyeshadow ~ I was very late to the game in getting this! (thank you LJ sales!). I absoloutely LOVE this shade! So pretty, can be dressed down or up!

* Estee Lauder Twilight Petal lipgloss $42 ~ Such a pretty shade. A nice shade to make a nude feel a bit more special!

* Laura Mercier Peacock Sequin eyeshadow $44 ~ First ever LM product and I love it! The perfect teal shade I've come across.

* MAC Imperial Flower nailpolish $22 ~ Awesome Orange!

* MAC Bite Of An Apple blush $44 ~ Okay so I bought this on pure hype (as one does lol) and I'm actually stunned as to how beautiful it really, actually is. No Joke. Perfect "I've just come in from the cold" shade. This is one hyped up product I wholeheartly agree with!

* MAC Undercurrent pearlglide liner $34 ~ My fave pencil was Float on By, until I used this. This is more intense and sparkles. To me it's Float on By but better!

* MAC Jest eyeshadow $32 ~ I've wanted this for a long time, finally obtained it and honestly, why didn't I get this sooner. It's gorgeous!!!

BONUS: 2 Lip Combinations I've been Loving!
Creme 'd Nude lipstick + Fashion Whim cremesheen glass = PERFECT NUDE!

Temperature's Rising lip pencil + Beachbound lipstick + Flurry of Fun lipglass = Sexy Bright ORANGE! *I'm going to try out TR lip pencil with Goes & Goes prolong together for some REAL Orange Magic to see how that looks hahaha. I suggest pairing with Imperial Flower nailpolish for orange overload!*

Products I'm NOT Loving:
Now this is hard for me to say coz I'm a hardcore MAC fan but a couple of their products have been over rated for me *sad face*:

*My Dark Magic eyeshadow ~ Now I own Young Punk (style black) and it's basically the same shade, I couldn't get the pink to stay pink, because of the black streaks, it too came out purple. I'd never use up Young Punk and think it is the better of the two.

*Bad Fairy nailpolish (throws hands up to avoid being hit...) ~ Yeah I know, I wanted to love this so bad but not as great as I thought it was going to be. The shimmery red from OPI's burlesque collection is much better, a bit different but just nicer.

My Perfume collection

I have far too many perfumes as you can see. Perfumes go off within 2 years (2 1/2 if you keep it in a drawer or something of the like ie. good conditions) so I don't know why I have so many but I do haha... Another addiction maybe? I go for the same notes being vanilla, fruity and floral. My next purchase will be Lola by Marc Jacobs.

1. CKin2U Heat
$75 100ml
~ No great story with this one. I went to a pharmacy, tried it, liked it, bought it. This is the last perfume that I've bought, so it also signalled to me that I shouldn't buy anymore... at least for a while haha.
Top Notes: Apricot, Raspberry, Guava
Mid Notes: Magnolia, Jasmine, Tiare Flower
Bottom Notes: Tonka Bean, Caramel, Cedar
Family: Fruity Floral

2. Marc Jacobs Daisy
$90 50ml
$120 100ml
~ I like to wear this one when I'm feeling pretty. Love this in the spring!
Top Notes: Strawberry, Green Aromas, Grapefruit
Mid Notes: Jasmine, Gardenia, Violet
Bottom Notes: Vanilla, Wood Notes, Musk
Family: Floral

3. Hilary Duff With Love
$75 100ml
~ My mum bought me this one for my birthday a couple of years back. This one I love to wear when I'm going out on the town (clubbing, partying etc), it just feels like it has a lot of energy and excitement, hence why I wear it for the occasion. This makes me feel sexy.
Top Notes: Mangosteen Fruit and Spices.
Mid Notes: Mangosteen Blossom, Cocobolo Wood
Bottom Notes: Wood, Amber Milk, Amber Musk
Family: Woody Oriental

4. L.A.M.B
$80 100ml
~ This is my everyday winter perfume. It's quite strong and warm feeling. I wear this everyday.
Top Notes: Water Hyacinth, Pear, Violet Leaves
Mid Notes: Jasmine, Rose, Sweet Pea, Lily of The Valley
Bottom Notes: Fragapani, Helitrope, Musk
Family: Floral

5. CKin2U
$50 50ml
$75 100ml
~ I tried this on one day and I fell in love. This is my go to, my summer perfume. This is one of my favourites and have gone through 2 bottles already and almost finished this one.
Top Notes: Pink Grapefruit, Sicilian Bergamont, Red Currant Leaves
Mid Notes: Sugar Orchid, White Cactus
Bottom Notes: Neon Amber, Vanilla, Red Cedar
Family: Fruity

6. Britney Spears Hidden Fantasy
$79 100ml
~ This was just another random perfume purchase. The day I bought this I tried on sooo many fragrances but this was by far the nicest. Definitely the best one Britney has put out imho.
Top Notes: Wild Cherry, Fresh Citrus
Mid Notes: Tropical Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Rose
Bottom Notes: Cashmere Musk, Vanilla, Amber
Family: Floral Oriental

7. MAC MVII
$48 40ml
~ I've been after the most perfect vanilla scent for years since I had the Impulse body spray in Vanilla Kisses (nothing will ever beat that, and if you know something that smells exactly the same, I MUST know!!!) and as much as I am into MAC I never even thought of trying their perfumes until this came out with Spring Colour Forecast collection. WOW! What was I missing out on. This baby is as close as I've come to find that perfect vanilla scent.
Top Notes: Vanille, Amalfi Lemon
Mid Notes: Lavender
Bottom Notes: Vanille, Helitrope
Family: Fruity Floral

8. Estee Lauder Beyond Paradise
$85 30ml
$110 50ml
$150 100ml
~ This holds a special place in my heart as this is pretty much the first proper perfume I bought as an adult. Also, its the scent I had when I came over to Australia, so it reminds me of starting anew and of spring. A very beautiful floral.
Top Notes: Edens Mist, Blue Hyacinth, Orange Flower Templar, Jabuticaba Fruit
Mid Notes: Laelia Orchid, Crepe Jasmin, Mahonia Japonica, Pink Honeysuckle
Bottom Notes: Natal Plum Blossoms, Ambrette Seed, Zebrano Wood, Golden Melaleuca Bark
Family: Floral

Excuse Me, I'm about to get dirrty!

Christina Aguilera

Yeah, if you don't like Christina Aguilera then you better turn away now. I'm about to get into all kinds of kink right here. I don't give a shit what any says or thinks about her, I like her... a LOT haha. I don't get how people can say that she is copying L. G... Ummm she's not... Where were you when she went through she stripped days, or the pre stripped days when she did afros and velvet ripped dresses and the like... she transforms herself with every album and has been around for over a decade (point is she's clearly not a copy, SHE is the original & she is different). Just don't get me started...

The reason I love her & why I'm starting with her for my Inspiration of the Month is simple. She's bold with whatever she does and she does it with grace, style and assertion. How many times have you seen her in the press for shaving her head off doing a DUI or landing in prison for 2 days? NEVER! Even though she doesn't feel the need to get naughty by doing the above you can tell that she still likes to get down and dirty, have fun and knows how to have a good time! She looks damn good all the time and if she doesn't, well freaking points for trying! She's not afraid to push the limits and test the boundaries and knows how to say no. I'm not gonna lie, she IS my biggest girl crush and tbh, I'd go off the track and stray for her. She's everything that I'd want to be. She is stunning and has major talent. Her songs speak to me like no other do and her lyrics have so much feeling in them. Being in creative control sets this woman apart from her peers. I cannot wait to see Burlesque to see how her other talents lie.

Sex Overload!

Feeling Bright!

I'm seriously loving this look! I was umming and ahhing over which look to do today, this or a neutral with deep purple lips (clearly I'm loving bold lips atm!) but I decided to go with this and I'm really gad I did. This is a new fave look! :)

Nail Trend 2010

NAIL TREND 2010 JIN SOON FOR MAC

Jin Soon (asian nail expert) was inspired by the “Forbidden City” for this collection. Jin Soon created shades inspired by the sculptures, architecture, fabrics, and decorative papers of Imperial China. Each shade has “pearl essences for subtle dimension.” This is a very beautiful collection that is almost *jeweled* in the colours.

Due to be released in September
Available from MAC counters at Myer, David Jones & PRO stores
RRP: $22
